Ladies Bike Ride Farmington to Roy & Front Runner, Oct 20, 2012 Part 1

It was an effort but we were able to load all three bikes on the back of our Jeep for this last ride in Utah for me.  Marianne & Ginny's bikes were not easy loading because they were not road bikes and they rested "catty wompus" on the rack.

This is Marianne's bike in front of the ever popular "porta-potties", in Farmington, about 15 miles north of Salt Lake City. Scoping out bathrooms and porta-potties is a necessary part of any bike trip!

Fall colors are beginning to show on the trail.  Marianne is riding ahead.

Here we all are in full regalia!  (Ha,Ha)  Marianne, me and Ginny.  It was cold to start the ride.

I love the leaves on the trail.

I know this is a bush of dead leaves but it still was pretty.

When we arrived in Layton we saw this family taking family photos by these crates of onions outside this business.  Interesting background! You never know what you will see on these trips!

This is the onion packing company where they were taking the photos.

This is Ginny jumping a fence by the RR track.

This is me jumping the fence.

Now Marianne attempts the jump!  (Ha,Ha)

I love this beautiful little pond alongside the trail.

Here we are in Clinton on the Rio Grande Rail to Trails.

This, I believe is really Roy, Utah, the near end of our 18 1/2 mile ride.

This was near Layton.

Marianne has her 1940 T shirt on whihc she received for helping with the 1940 census indexing.
This RR track was near the top of a hill,( puff, puff) before we got to the station for the Front Runner in Roy.

This is a huge shovel in the station parking lot.  See Part 2 for an explanation.
