Contining Logan Temple Trip to Include Antelope Island, May 25, 2012

This is a scene of the Wasatch Mountains, I think, which shows how the mountain was created with the upward thrust of the earth's crust.  See the angles of the rock in the different color.  This was on I-15 headed south toward SLC.
Sigh...There is something so beautiful, peaceful, and serene about Antelope Island!  This is from Buffalo Point and shows White Rock Bay.
This close-up is of White Rock Bay.  The white on the beach is from Salt Crystals.
This scene is the opposite direction toward Bridger Bay, from Buffalo Point.
Looking down the road from Buffalo Point toward the main part of the Island and toward the mountains on the other side of the island.  Even this island is vast!
This buffalo is heading down toard White Rock Bay.
This shows the buffalo in the distance and the White Rock Bay Campground in the far distance.
This map shows the trails to walk on the Island.  We are standing in the upper left where it says, "Here".
Jim is taking a photo of Billy Paylor as he stands by this tall, very invasive grass which grows on the Island. The name is Phragmites Australis This is near the Garr Ranch at the southern end of the isalnd.  The paylors, from Harkers Island, NC, had never seen Antelope Island so we had to detour there on the way home from Logan!
This bird was singing and singing so I had to get a photo!  Someone said it was a meadow lark?
This is the whole group. 18 of us, which went to Logan to the temple and to eat at the Blubird Cafe.  After that we went to a cheese factory also  This was an all-day trip! We get a "temple day" once a month so this was our May temple day.
