Route from Ozarks to Colorado Springs

This is an example of what I call a "ribbon road", State Road 19 North of I-44. It is like a ribbon with the hills which go up and down in a short distance.

Some of the side roads in Missouri have no name, just have a letter, as seen in this photo. I do not know how this works.

This is the town of Hermann, Mo on Rt 19 North of I-44. Apparently it was founded by Germans and many still speak only German. It is a pretty little town.

This is the Muissouri River on Rt 19 North of Hermann, Mo. Note the Rocky bluff on the right.

Sunset on I-70 just west of Rt 19 in Missouri, east of Kansas City.

Kansas City Skyline in the morning of May 23.

This is an example of a prosperous Kansas farm.

Near one of the rest stops was this old church, which loooked like it had been restored. This was in Colorado. Along with the church, it appears there is also a farmhouse and a barn. This building was also there. It could be an old sodhouse, the forerunner of the farmhouse.Lynda watching buffalo while driving the RV in Colorado. This is an old barn in eastern Colorado. Can you tell I like old barns?
We drove 600 miles on this day to arrive at Coloado Springs from east of Kansas City. Phew, that was a highwater mark for us driving the RV!

Now here you will not get a lot of photos of Kansas. It just was not that interesting.
